Booking statuses & workflow
Pending, confirmed, on hold, completed and cancelled — and what happens at each step.

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting for you (or for payment). Seats are reserved. |
| Confirmed | The trip is on. The traveler gets the confirmation email. |
| On hold | Paused, for example waiting for a bank transfer. |
| Completed | The trip has happened. |
| Cancelled | Seats are released. Cancel requests from travelers show as “Cancel requested” until you decide. |
Default status#
Under Settings → General & Currency → Booking Defaults choose whether new bookings start as Pending or Instant Confirmed. Paid online bookings (Pro) are confirmed when the gateway confirms the payment.
Email confirmation#
Turn on Require Email Confirmation to make travelers click a link before the booking counts — a strong guard against fake bookings.
Changing status#
From Tourivo → Bookings, from a booking’s detail view, or with wp tourivo booking set-status 45 confirmed. Every change is atomic, logged on the booking and fires tourivo/booking_status_changed.
